 Tax credit are non transferable. 

PAYE tax credit and DWT tax credit are the only ones refundable. Rest, no.

No need to remember the figures, provided in tax table in exam.

Day 1 of ACCA study journey

 Dear diary, Just took the first step of studying for ACCA. My head is blocked. Probably due to too much going on around me. Got a part-time bookkeeping and payroll course (which has a payroll test around end of May or beginning of June), a full time job as assistant accountant, a translation hobby, a driving test in 22 days and ACCA's first exam in 50 days.  And personal life is busy too. Mom needs me to fix a leaky bathtub (due to silicone around the edge wearing off) and paint the water-stained ceiling (which came from the combo of leaky bathtub and mishandling of the bath tap). My own place also needs the renovation loose ends finished. Ahhhhhhhhh! What am I doing to myself!?  A quick catch on my ACCA situation. To progress further in my new-ish job, it's ideal to do ACCA or something similar. As a lazy thinker, I choose ACCA since my colleagues my age is doing it. And the exams can be taken one at a time. Day 2 of ACCA Taxation

T.T  I'm terrible at diary. Quick skim of what happened so far. June: Failed Law (Irish version) by 1 mark Aug: Repeated Law (UK version) Passed Sept: Failed Financial Reporting by 1 mark (again!?) Dec: for Taxation (Irish version) in progress Reflection: Time is against me. With a full-time job, a project with fixed deadlines (that meant working in advance to make room for time to study closer to exam), and life necessities e.g. family, chores, meals, social life etc, slotting time to study is an ongoing challenge. Might need to consider dropping something or slow down the pace. Notice health is deteriorating a bit. Not as fit after switching to a desk job and injuries not healing as fast. Knowing there's limited time, tried multi-tasking, listening to the OpenTuition video while working. For law, it somewhat works as a bit of knowledge stuck while some went out the other ear due to being focused on the job. While Financial reporting, it's more hands on due the majority of...
